Graphite Stirring Rods
Graphite stirring rods are the ideal tool for applications requiring contamination-free mixing, homogenization, or directional solidification in molten metal and chemical environments. Use graphite rod to stir the molten metal in your crucible, it will pick up any impurities as you stir, giving you a consistent, clean flow ready for the mould.
Engineered to withstand rapid temperature fluctuations (from ambient to 2000°C and back) without cracking or chipping—eliminating the common issue of rod failure during quick heating/cooling cycles in foundry and metallurgy operations.
Our rods are pressed and sintered, minimizing porosity that typically leads to molten material absorption, contamination, or premature wear. This ensures pure, uncontaminated mixing of molten metals and glass.
Resistant to reaction with molten aluminum, copper, zinc, and their alloys, as well as molten glass—avoiding the common issue of material leaching or rod degradation that contaminates the final product.
Maintains structural rigidity even at 1500℃, preventing bending or breakage during high-torque stirring—a frequent failure point for low-grade graphite rods in heavy-duty industrial use.
Polished surface reduces adhesion of molten materials, making cleanup easier and preventing residue buildup that can compromise subsequent batches.
