Graphite Launder is a precision-engineered graphite channel designed specifically for the transfer and pouring of high-temperature molten metals, such as aluminum, copper, zinc, and their alloys. It acts as the "high-temperature artery" connecting melting furnaces, holding furnaces, and casting molds or rollers, ensuring molten metal is transferred safely from one point to another in a stable, controlled, and contamination-free flow.

  • Manufactured from specially formulated, fine-grained, high-strength graphite with an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion. Combined with an optimized structural design, it withstands repeated thermal shocks from room temperature to over 800°C, minimizing cracking and ensuring safe, continuous operation.

  • High-density graphite is non-wetting to most molten metals (especially aluminum). We provide a high-precision machined surface, ensuring smooth, unrestricted metal flow. This significantly reduces metal residue and oxide dross formation, improving metal yield.

  • The material's strength increases at elevated temperatures. The high density provides outstanding resistance to erosion and abrasion, maintaining precise geometry and dimensional stability even during prolonged high-temperature service.

  • We offer launders impregnated with an optional anti-oxidation protective coating. This coating forms a dense protective layer on the graphite surface, effectively raising the oxidation onset temperature by 200-400°C, significantly extending product life in oxidative environments.

  • We provide fully customized design and machining based on your furnace type, flow rate, installation space, and angle. This ensures perfect flange mating, precise tilt angles.
